Free-Lance Artist, Educator, and Program Director

My name is Manuel Garcia, Jr. lifelong artist and career educator working with multiple ethnic and socioeconomic diverse students. After 31 years, I was able to retire from the Texas Educational System, but I have come out of retirement to become the Program Director for The Art of Living, in Fort Worth, TX. As Program Director, I continue with my passion for the Arts and educating children.

My personal education, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from West Texas State University, Canyon TX. My preferred art medium is working with Prisma color pencils dealing with realistic themes from nature and western/rustic art on reclaimed wood.

I have been fortunate to be bestowed by peers as Teacher of the Year at two different campuses, as a Special Education and Art Teacher. In 2018, Certificate of Excellence State of Texas House of Representatives.

Education has allowed my adventures to never end…
